I BELIEVE
_I believe in the fundamental role of education in every community. Transferring knowledge is the only way for communities to survive and flourish in a fast-paced, knowledge-based world economies. This continuous process should reflect to the needs and expectations of the community where it lives and comprise an important resource for every nation.
Pharmacy education is no exception, pharmacists have always taken the back seat behind their dispensary counters preparing secretive mixtures trying to cure different types of illnesses over hundreds of years. But times have changed and so have the role of the contemporary pharmacist. The changing role of pharmacists necessitates changes in the ways we provide pharmacy education. I embrace these changes in every lecture because I realize that competencies do not come only with knowledge but with developing the skills and acquiring the experience needed to apply the knowledge gained.
One of the best ways to spread knowledge is through communication, I always believe that optimal use of means of communication and technology will provide the interactive environment for education needed to build a knowledge-based society, after all education comes with continuous communication.
